Sometimes, there isn't a logical reason, you can't understand why, but you make a decision for no other reason other than because it feels right. That is gut instinct.
There are times when logic dictates the way in which we make decisions, but there are other times where our gut instinct kicks in and guides us.
Sometimes making a decision purely on how we feel could be wrong, because our fears and hopes can interfere with the decision making, and it may not be the best course of action.
But sometimes, it just feels right to go with our instincts. It may just be a minor decision, such as to choose a food that we haven't had before or it could be a big decision such as choosing a new job or home.
So if logic and necessity don't give you a clear answer to your question, then maybe you should go with your gut instinct.
It could open up all sorts of new and exciting possibilities.

There are times when we see a situation that needs action and we think to ourselves, I'm not doing that, it's not my job!
But if everybody thought that way, a lot of things simply wouldn't get done.
There are times when taking responsibility for something, being the one that makes things happen isn't comfortable or easy, but that in itself is not a reason to turn your back on something.
When you take responsibility, you take control, and that is a very empowering thing to do. You are no longer a passive spectator, you are an active participant.
So don't turn your back, don't walk away, take responsibility.

Each of us is an individual in our own right and each of us has our own unique abilities and gifts.
There are times when we doubt ourselves, doubt that we are capable of doing something, of seeing it through.
We must put trust in ourselves, believe that we truly are capable, that we are strong, that we are able.
Because without this self trust, we will never learn more about what we are able to do.
By trusting ourselves, we will learn how we can cope when life gets tough, learn that we can make a difference, learn that we are wonderful in our own right.
So use that trust, harness it and discover how powerful you truly are.

In this life, there are many, many ways to make a difference.
These range from a tiny difference, for example saving a bee from drowning in a pond right up to huge differences such as saving the lives of many people.
By making a difference, you are giving a part of you, enriching both your life and the lives that you touch.
Do not be afraid to give, to make a difference. By doing so you will gain so much, learn so much.
Give to those who genuinely need, see their joy and gratitude, let it swell your heart.
So make a difference, give for love, do not give just to receive.

We each have knowledge on a wealth of different subjects.
Each of us is unique, as is what we have learned throughout our lives.
We may at times think that we have nothing to offer, but that is not true.
We are all full of knowledge, and it is up to us to use it wisely and to use it to grow in our lives.
We should always strive to learn more, right throughout our lives. The only limit to this learning is us. New knowledge is always there for the taking.
So get out into the world and learn, then in turn, teach others.
Share your knowledge and watch with joy as others learn and grow from you.
Learn, grow, share.

Each day, we go about our lives, our routines, walking, driving or using public transport on the same routes to school, work, or the shops.
We do these journeys almost on auto pilot. How many times have you reached your destination only to realise that you don't remember the journey?
Instead of just doing these journeys on auto pilot, we should take the time to look around, see what's new, smile and say good morning to people that we see everyday on our route.
Interact with the world rather than being a passive commuter.
Use this otherwise 'dead' time to learn and look, it's amazing what new, interesting things and people you can see when you choose to look and see them.

Sometimes, as we go through life, we drift through, going through each day without really injecting much passion into it.
Life becomes routine, we find ourselves doing the same thing at the same time. Life becomes dull.
But if we life our lives with passion, put our all into things, life becomes more interesting.
Instead of merely drifting through life, we begin to live it.
Instead of standing still while the world continues to rotate around us, we should engage with it, participate, put our all into it.
Live your life passionately, rather than drifting through it. Live, participate, enjoy.

No stars or moon shone to give a glimmer of light.
She lay in her bed, thoughts flitting into her brain like a myriad of butterfly wings as she teetered on the dark abyss of sleep.
She slept, unmoving, caught in a web of dreams.
Her eyes flew open, her brain still befuddled by sleep. She lay, her heart pounding. What had woken her from such a delicious sleep?
An electric blue flash ripped apart the dark sky, followed by the distant rumble of thunder. She lay, listening as the storm grew closer and closer.
The sky was a tumult of sound and light, thunder following lightening in a never ending game of cat and mouse.
She stumbled to the window and threw back the curtains.
She stood and watched in awe as nature unleashed it's fury before her.

Of getting a promotion? None if I don't do my job well.
Of owning nice things? None If I don't earn enough money.
Of being loved? None if I don't show love to others.
Of fulfilling my dreams? None if I do not take the first step towards them.
Of being happy? None if I do not strive to be so.
If we want to get the most out of this life, we must first put in the effort.
Nothing is given, nothing is our right.
We must work, work for what we want, want we need, to reach our dreams.
To have a chance, we must first take action.
To have a chance, we must first try.

Each day is a new beginning. Each day comes with a new set of opportunities.
We have the chance to seize these opportunities, or just simply to let them pass us by, the choice is ours to take.
But we should remember that these opportunities may not be there tomorrow, so if we wish to seize them, make the most of them, we should grab them whilst we can.
Each new opportunity is a chance to find out about ourselves, our strengths and weaknesses.
They may give us a chance to try something new, maybe something exciting.
So seize the day, use it to explore the world, experience new things, enjoy yourself.
For one thing is certain, this day will never be repeated.

This is your life, and to a great extent you can choose how to live it.
When things get tough, you can choose to let them drag you down, or your can choose to fight your way out.
You can choose to be unhappy about the things that you don't have, or you can choose to be happy about the things that you do have.
The perspective that you put onto your life makes a great deal of difference to how you feel, what you can achieve.
If you choose to always to live a life of regret, anger and inaction, then that will stop you from being the best that you can.
But if you choose to live life with love, patience and persistence, then almost anything is possible.
