Twitaculous

I love to comp,
As many of you know.
Web and Facebook,
I go with the flow.

But a while ago,
I found something new,
Twitaculous it's called,
Does the name give a clue?

Hundreds of prizes,
Are listed each day,
Over on Twitter,
I join, have a play.

I paid for a month,
To see how I do!
After a week, I won.
Out of the blue!

I enter each day,
Slowly I play,
Or you'll end up in jail,
Twitter does say!

I tweet and I follow,
Like and reply,
I'm having such fun,
My fingers do fly!

Another batch done,
Time for a brew
But in a few hours time,
I'll be back, do a few!

So thanks Twitaculous,
For being such fun,
I hope you like this verse,
My job here is done!

D-lightful!

I went to the Doc,
Just the other day,
Cos, I was feeling ill,
In many a way!

Aching and tired,
Tingly and numb,
Dragging around,
Feeling quite glum!

Ah, I need some blood,
To do a quick test,
Then go home and wait,
While we do the rest.

A few days did pass,
Oh dear, what is wrong,
Please hurry up,
What's taking so long!

At last, a call,
To tell me my ills,
We can fix this,
With a course of some pills.

Its quite simple you know,
You're lacking in D,
That vitamin from sunshine,
Is too low in me!

I pick up my pills,
Some yellow, some green!
Just one a day,
I take one, quite keen.

It's a long old job,
Three months on the dose,
But it will all be worth it,
When it comes to the close.

I'm already feeling better,
After a couple of days,
Finish em up,
And my spirits will raise.

The moral is learned,
To keep up my D,
A short time outside,
When the sun I do see.

Maybe a few pills as well,
And I'll be right as rain,
Happy and smiling,
As health I regain.

Sparky The Weatherdog

Sparky The Weatherdog,
Is a very special hound,
He gives us daily updates,
When he's on his walk around.

He likes to wear hats,
Different ones every day,
Pink ones, and blue ones,
Quite a large array.

He gives big wet kisses,
And wags his lovely tail,
Sparky you're so gorgeous!
The lads and lasses wail.

He loves a belly rub,
It really makes his day!
Four paws up in the air,
Is the Sparky way.

Sometimes he is naughty,
Like any other pup,
Tripping up his owners,
Getting in trouble, yup!

He plays with all the children,
At school time every day,
They love the fun and giggles,
He sees them, is away!

He has a big heart too,
Helps animals in need,
Sells paw prints and calendars,
It's worthy, we all agreed,

So if you're in love with Sparky,
With him you want to engage,
Just pop across to Facebook,
He's got his own fab page.

My name is Lazarus

My name is Lazarus,
A special sort of fish,
An easier type of pet,
You cannot possibly wish.

No walks or noise,
Just a flutter of a tail
Decorating your fish tank,
And munching the odd snail.

I like to eat cucumber!
A fresh slice everyday.
It gives me lots of energy,
To swim around and play.

Why my name?
I hear you say!
Very strange for a fish,
Who just hangs around all day.

This is why.............

I'm old you see,
Been around many a year.
But still full of life,
So of death I do not fear.

I like to rest,
Suckered underneath a log,
But when I fall asleep,
Staying stuck is such a slog!

My suck disappears,
To the bottom I do cruise,
Lying on my back,
Continuing to snooze!

Belly up on the bottom,
Oblivious to my owner's stare,
Dreaming of food,
Not listening to her prayer.

Don't let him be death,
I will miss him o so much,
At her close friend,
She does so fiercely clutch!

I wake up just a bit,
And see her beady eye!
Flip, I'm back upright,
Through the water I do fly!

So now you know the truth,
Of how I got my name,
I rise up from the dead,

It is my claim to fame!
